How to find us
From Salcombe, Malborough and Hope Cove
Follow signs to Kingsbridge through West Alvington and down to the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Ilbert Road and drive towards the town centre with the petrol station on your right-hand side. Turn right into the second entrance of the petrol station and continue through the passage towards Kingsbridge Library (passing TQ7 Barbers and the side entrance to the Town Council building on the left). The road opens into the Town Council car park*, and Kingsbridge Care Hub is on the farthest end, opposite the library.
*Please note that this car park is owned by Kingsbridge Town Council, not The Care Hub, so regretfully, parking is not permitted without prior permission from the Council offices. Unless the Town Council agrees otherwise, you may only occupy a parking space temporarily to drop somebody off. If you have a disability badge displayed in your vehicle, you are free to park in one of the designated spaces but are still required to let the Town Council office know, either in person when you arrive or by calling 01548 853296.

We are located directly behind Kingsbridge bus station; the main bus stop is attached to our building, and our reception entrance is literally just around the corner. Tally Ho is the primary operator in this area, running several services in and around the town. Bus timetables vary throughout the year, so we recommend visiting their website for the latest information before planning your visit to us: https://bustimes.org/localities/kingsbridge-devon. The Coleridge bus is a local community bus service entirely run by volunteers. It serves 10 rural parishes Tuesday to Friday with a different route each day. Please visit their website for the latest timetable: https://www.coleridgebus.co.uk/timetable.html
If you are visiting us from Salcombe, you might like to arrive via ‘The Lady Mary’, a seasonal ferry service that connects Salcombe and Kingsbridge. Details of this service can be found here: https://www.kingsbridgesalcombeferry.com/
Please note that the ferry service schedule is governed by the tidal patterns of Salcombe Harbour. When the tide is not high enough, the Lady Mary cannot reach the head of Kingsbridge Creek, so you may need to alight at The Crabshell Inn quay, a 10-minute walk from The Care Hub.
Follow signs or ask for directions to Kingsbridge Age Concern.
We are lucky to be based just a short walk from Kingsbridge Estuary, which has public moorings and disabled access at the Kingsbridge Basin Pontoon. Please take time to read the South Hams Moorings Policy before setting off and familiarise yourself with the tide timetable: http://mg.swdevon.gov.uk/documents/s20340/Appendix%203.pdf

Kingsbridge Quay Car Park
This is the closest public car park to us, offering both short- and long-term parking options. It is conveniently located near the main town centre and is within easy walking distance of The Care Hub.
Free Parking:
Embankment Road: There are some free parking spaces on Embankment Road, which runs alongside the estuary. However, these spaces are time-limited, and you may receive a penalty notice from parking attendants if you exceed the permissible period.
Fore Street: Some free car parking spaces are also available on Fore Street. However, parking time is usually restricted to 1 hour, and Fore Street is quite a steep hill.
Tesco Kingsbridge Superstore: Tesco on Cookworthy Road (TQ7 1QN) offers 2 hours and 30 minutes of free parking. However, it is also located uphill from The Care Hub, which may prove challenging for some older people.
Kingsbridge Town Council’s Quay House Car Park: The Care Hub is located within the grounds of the Quay House; however, we are not authorised to grant permission for our clients to park there. Unless the Town Council agrees otherwise, you may only occupy a parking space here temporarily to drop somebody off. If you have a disability badge displayed in your vehicle, you are free to park in one of the designated spaces but are still required to let the Town Council office know, either in person when you arrive or by calling 01548 853296.
Please note that parking availability, fees, and regulations may vary, and it is always advisable to check local signage and regulations before parking your vehicle.
Most of the car parks in Kingsbridge now use the RingGo parking app, which enables you to pay for parking, check availability, and manage your parking session through your smartphones. Pay and display machines currently also accept cash.
