We host a range of community groups and events designed to improve your quality of life.
Dementia Cafe
3rd Thursday of each month, 2pm to 4pm
2-hour session free
Alzheimer’s Society run a Memory Café on the third Thursday of every month between 2pm and 4pm. This group is funded directly by Alzheimer’s Society and is available to people living with an Alzheimer’s or Dementia diagnosis.
Care Hub Memory Club
1st Thursday of each month, 2pm to 4pm
2-hour session is £5
This is an informal group , run by Next Steps, and is open to anyone who wishes to attend. You do not need to have a Dementia diagnosis to join. The Memory Club is an interactive, participant-led group offering a range of fun activities to encourage social interaction. Currently this is not a funded group, so we need to charge £5 per session to cover costs.
Mustard Tree Outreach
Every other Wednesday between 1:30pm and 4:30pm
Free
The Mustard Tree team offer support and advice to anyone affected by cancer, whether you're a patient, relative or carer.
Health and Welfare Advice Fairs
Thursday 9.30-11.30 am (Every 6 weeks, see events calendar for dates)
FREE advice clinic, with representatives from several health and welfare
services, including Citizens Advice, Trading Standards, Kingsbridge Library, Next Steps (Mental health & Wellbeing), South Dartmoor Community
Energy and many more.
Other Wellbeing Groups
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons
Cost varies (from FREE to £10 per session)
These afternoons are reserved for mental health and wellbeing support groups, such as Grief Support, Dementia Carers Support, Mindful Art Therapy, and Singing for the Brain sessions will start later this year. Contact us for further details.
